Before aesthetic injection appointments

Check your social calendar and avoid getting cosmetic injections right before an event Although aesthetic injections are generally safe with minimal side effects, you can have mild redness, swelling, or bruise (in rare cases) that usually resolves in a few days. To be cautious, it's better to wait after a social event or important occasion for a procedure.

After treatment of wrinkle reducers (Botox/Jeuveau/Xeomin)

For the first 4 hours, avoid lying down flat.

For 24-48 hours, avoid vigorous exercise, yoga, pilates, or saunas. For 2 days, do not plan on any laser or facial treatment

After treatment of fillers

For the first 24 hours, avoid Aspirin or Ibuprofen products and alcohol as they can worsen swelling or bruising.

For the first few days, mild swelling, tenderness and firm feeling are normal. Apply cool compresses for swelling and take Tylenol (Acetaminophen) for pain. Swelling of filler will decrease in few days and effect settled in 7-10 days

Do not plan for laser or facial treatments, for at least 2 weeks.

Follow up appointment

Plan to follow up in 2 weeks after Toxin or Filler injections

  • Neurotoxins (such as Botox/Jeuveau) will start showing effect in 3-4 days after injections and takes up to 10-14 days to achieve it's full effect.
